2010 Oil Spill 10 June BP Spill Updates From Gulf of Mexico

Quek Zhi Wei, Kathleen.

BP has not been handling the oil spill the most efficient way. Even after a few weeks after the oil spill. The progress of cleaning up the oil spill is slow.

No doubt the cost of cleaning up oil spills is high. But the damage done to the environment is sometimes irreversible and will take a longer time to get back to how it used to be.

BP should consider hiring more manpower, to help clear the oil. Advance technology can also be used to improve the conditions.

The oil spill has also shown people, what kind of company BP is. To me, BP is very inconsiderate as they delayed the cleaning up of oil spills. Causing many more innocent animals to die. Some of these animals could be endangered species as well. By causing animals such as fishes to die, it affects the livelihood of fishermen, as people would start avoiding fish as they are afraid they might be contaminated. Resulting in the decrease in sales of fishes.

Last but not least, BP should make up for all the damages done.
